  "Let me go!" Mary pleaded desperately, her cries causing the cage to tremble as she strained against the unyielding metal and chains.

  I shook my head in frustration and turned to Ethan.

  "This is getting to me," I muttered under my breath, taking a deep breath to steady myself amidst Mary's cries and Lily lying motionless on the ground.

  "Could we talk?" I asked Ethan, my voice carrying a serious tone.

  He glanced at Kiev, who simply shrugged. "We're already talking."

  "In private," I corrected him promptly, letting out a sigh before turning to face Kiev. "Kiev, will you keep an eye on them? We'll be back soon, I promise," I added earnestly, meeting his gaze with sincerity. He shrugged again, nodding in agreement.
