CHAPTER 43: Not Fit To Be Luna

  Emily's pov

I was sitting in the living room, thinking to myself about when I would be leaving for my lectures when I decided to close the blinds. The sun had just burst through the clouds and into the room, hurting my eyes as they met. I was already dealing with the pounding headache and didn't want anything else.

Right now I just wanted to have some rest and if possible, be cuddled. But Berton wasn't home. That was the moment I heard the sound of a car outside. I peeked through the blinds and saw Berton's car park outside. I sat back there on the couch and waited.

A few minutes later, he walked in looking tired but happy. He'd had a long day at work so it wasn't surprising if he was tired. He came over and sat beside me on the couch before I got up and gave him a proper welcome of a kiss on the cheeks. He flashed me a smile and sighed deeply before he began to ask questions.

"How was your day?" He asked, sounding so soft and gentle.
