  NINA'S POV

After Alexander had finished with his speech, The crowd's roar was like a loud, jarring mix of gasps, murmurs, and angry shouts that vibrated through my entire body. The harsh spotlight still shone down on me, but Alexander drew everyone's attention. He was a calming presence in the midst of the chaos he had just caused.

"silence!" His voice suddenly boomed through the hall, a dissatisfactory look on his face.

I pursed my lips as I stared at Alexander, he had done it, he had defended me when I thought all hope was lost. A part of me, which I thought was dead, was still clinging on to the little ray of light that seemed to shine dimly, it was the shattered remnant of my dreams I thought I had lost.
