CHAPTER 62 A BRACELET

  LEO'S POV

As I walked in, the door creaked and I was hit with the familiar smell of pine and lavender. It used to be a cozy smell that made me feel welcome, but now it just reminded me of what was gone - who was gone. Nina.

I stood in the door, letting the door shut quietly behind me. The silence felt heavy and suffocating, like the walls were closing in on me. I could almost hear them whispering her name, taunting me with memories of our life together. The air was filled with echoes of our past - a past that felt far away, yet still hurt.

I hadn't been home in days, I had been sleeping from one brothel to another over the past week, I didn't have the courage or guts to spend the night in this haunting house that only reminded me of Nina. It was easier to avoid it and pretend nothing was wrong. But I couldn't keep running. I had to face the mess that was left of my life, and it was all around me, in every corner of this house.
