CHAPTER 70 The True Creator

  NINA'S POV

It had been less than a week since Leo and I had worked together in exposing May. I was working in my design room when the news broke. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the room, and the air smelled like burnt metal and chemicals. Suddenly, My phone started buzzing on the counter next to me, vibrating against some unfinished pieces. At first, I ignored it and kept working on a bracelet, but the buzzing kept going, one notification after another.

I finally put down my tools, wiped my hands on my apron which was already covered in stains from paints and others, and grabbed my phone. The screen was blowing up with messages - social media notifications, texts from friends, and missed calls. I hesitated for a second before opening the first message, a text from my Nora.

"Have you seen this?" was all it said, followed by a link to an article.
