CHAPTER 69 Revenge

  NINA'S POV

My birthday with Alexander yesterday was a blast, I enjoyed every moment with him, I couldn't deny it. But then again, Leo interrupted and now the thought bracelet kept haunting me, a constant reminder of how close I'd come to exposing May's secret. I knew deep down that she was a fake, a thief who'd stolen not just a piece of jewelry but also my idea, a part of me. Every time I saw her wearing that bracelet, showing it off like it was always hers, I felt a wave of anger rising up inside me, threatening to overwhelm me.

No matter how angry I was, I had nothing solid to back it up. No proof, no way to prove for sure that May had stolen my design. She'd done it so cleverly, waiting until I'd left my bracelet at Leo's house before "coincidentally" creating her own. It was almost too perfect. She'd covered her tracks really well, leaving me with nothing but my word against hers. And in our world, just saying something wasn't enough to take her down.
