Derek's POV.
I turned around, expecting to see the young woman from the night before, fast asleep on the bed. But to my surprise, she was nowhere to be found. I let out a frustrated hiss - this was the problem with one-night stands; they always seemed to vanish into thin air. I got up and knocked on the bathroom door, but there was no response.
With a growing sense of irritation, I opened the door, but she wasn't there either. I shook my head, realizing I was already running late. I didn't have time to waste searching for a stranger who had clearly moved on. I decided to focus on getting ready for my day and took my bath, trying to put the mysterious woman out of my mind.
After my bath, I couldn't shake off the lingering scent of her perfume on my skin. It was as if her presence still lingered, haunting me. I put on the same clothes I had worn the night before, feeling a bit disheveled but eager to get home and rest. But I knew it can only happen after I'm back from work.
