CHAPTER Ninety Eight Let's Go Meet Your Papa

  Elena's POV.

I ran as fast as I could, tears streaming down my face. I longed for a family where love and unity reigned supreme, not power and manipulation. I yearned for a family where every member cherished each other, not one where power struggles and political alliances were the only currency that mattered.

At this point, I even wished I was born into a different family, one where love and happiness were the priorities. I couldn't fathom why fate had dealt me such a cruel hand.

What had I done to deserve a father who would willingly marry me off to the brother of my sworn enemy? The injustice and heartache were suffocating me.

I ran blindly, without a destination in mind. I knew I couldn't go to Mercy's house, my dad would surely look for me there.

I stopped, my hands clutching my hair in desperation. What was I going to do? Everything seemed to be working against me.
