CHAPTER 57 History Must Not Be Repeated

  Sinclair's pov

  As we both sat to eat, I couldn't stop staring at those eyes of hers. I knew she was struggling to not tell me what exactly was on her mind, but I decided not to speak a word of it until she was ready to say something to me.

  "Sinclair... You haven't touched your food, and it's getting really cold. " her voice jolted me back to the present, and I feigned a smile before stuffing my mouth with the soup.

  To avoid making her overthink anything, I finished everything in my bowl and waited for her in the car so we could go see her mother.

  I sat in the car and even revved the engine to remind her that I was waiting for her, but she remained up in her room getting ready. Just as I was about to get down from the car and call her, she came running out of the house and towards the car.

  "I'm sorry, my love, I had to make sure my room was intact before leaving.." she said and shut the car door.
