  Evangeline chuckled. "Hmm, I don't think you're being entirely truthful here. Sounds like you're just struggling to pick one of them," she teased, but there was a hint of seriousness in her tone.

  Evangeline and I usually get along well and understand each other, but when it comes to sensitive matters like this, our opinions often diverge. I couldn't take her advice on this, so I decided to play along.

  "I'm not," I replied finally, forcing a smile. "I'm still waiting to hear from the one who invited me... I might not even accept his invitation," I added awkwardly, glancing at her on the screen. She rolled her eyes sarcastically in response.

  "I don't get where you're coming from," she shook her head in disbelief. "How can you not accept his invitation if he's the only one who asked you?" She looked at me with a knowing expression, as if she had just solved a puzzle.

  "I see what you're thinking," she winked.
