  Finally, I took a deep breath, knowing I couldn't conceal the fact that the other guys in this apartment had also invited me out, fearing I might disappoint Cedric, just like with Draven before.

  "Is something wrong?" he asked, his voice gentle as he scrutinized me.

  "No," I replied softly. "But..." I murmured, drawing his full attention.

  "I don't quite know how to say this, but Draven and Zane have also asked me," I admitted, feeling the weight of it settle heavily within me.

  "It's going to be unfair if I told Draven about it and not Cedric," I thought, watching his reaction.

  "I don't want to-" I started to say, but he cut in with a regretful look.

  "Oh," he gasped.

  "I didn't expect that," I chuckled softly.

  "No, it's okay. Who wouldn't ask you?" he laughed lightly. I glanced at him, seeing lingering regret in his eyes, but I was relieved he wasn't making it difficult for me.

  "That's not quite it," I said, running my fingers through my hair.
