Calista
"You're not so serious," I gasped.
"You really can't resist me," he whispered in his raspy voice as he brought his lips there and ate it.
"I am only thankful," I said, frown.
I almost coughed loudly, but I just rolled my eyes instead. I didn't want to feel too comfortable, knowing that Draven might hate me again.
"I'm not one of your girls, cut that out," I teased him.
He shrugged, his expression becoming serious for a moment. "I've never treated them the way I treat you."
I sighed, looking at him. "Well, I guess I've expressed my gratitude to you, and I do love this dessert." I changed the subject, hoping to brush off the awkwardness.
Cedric's smile returned. "I guess I know how to make you happier now."
"Yeah, keep bringing me desserts, and we'll be just fine," I said, giving him a playful nudge.
He chuckled, the tension between us easing. "Deal. Anything to see that smile on your face, Calista."
