  "I've got this covered, Calista," Zane insisted with a confident grin, his posture relaxed against the wall. "You've helped me out plenty of times. Let me return the favor by ensuring you're safe and not bored," he murmured earnestly.

  Draven, arms crossed and standing nearby, countered stoically, "It's more prudent to ride with me. My sports car offers safety and comfort. I'll drive carefully," he assured with a composed tone, appearing weary of the ongoing debate.

  Cedric sighed audibly. "Give it up, guys. Calista should ride with me. I know how to keep things interesting," he declared, flashing a charming smile.

  "Guys, I appreciate your offers, but I think I'll take the bus today. It's simpler this way," I asserted firmly, cutting through the tension and the growing annoyance.
