Calista
The following day, I hoped for a reprieve from the storm of emotions and stress. Yet, as I walked through the university hallways, the unresolved feelings stirred up by the men who had suddenly reappeared loomed over me.
I found myself facing a gauntlet of my classmates- Viah, Serafina, and Emma, who had strategically blocked my path.
"Now, I don't think you can escape us," Emma said with a roll of her eyes, her sarcasm cutting through the air. The lump in my throat grew, making it hard to breathe as their eyes bore into me, waiting for a response.
"Yes, why are you looking at us like that?" Viah chuckled, her voice light but edged with curiosity. "Everyone's talking about you because of what happened yesterday!" She exclaimed, her tone gleeful, completely unaware of my desire to forget it all.
"Really…" I muttered, trying to keep my composure.
