The gravel crunched beneath the tires as I pulled into Calista's driveway, my car coming to a halt just as two others did the same. I clenched my jaw, glancing over at the men who stepped out of their vehicles, their eyes locking with mine as we converged on the front porch.
The door to her house remained closed, and I could see that they were just as shocked as I am as we find ourselves in this place. I mean, we rented the same place... But we barely stay at each other's apartment.
None of us had expected to find anyone else here- each one of us probably thought he was the only one with a reason to see Calista tonight. But here we were, three men standing in a standoff.
"What the hell are you doing here?" The question burst out of all of us simultaneously.
