After a kind of long vacation, staying at home and spending time with Lysandra, reminiscing about how my old life used to be, the new term finally came again. Summit Ridge College welcomed me back with its familiar grandeur, yet I felt a strange sense of displacement. Lysandra and I had different schedules this term, which meant our time together would be even more limited.
I stood in front of the entrance to Summit Ridge College, pushing open the heavy gates. The courtyard is literally like the chattering place of students, their overlapping conversations filled the place. As I walked purposefully through the campus, my mind wandered back to the term I spent at St. Aldrich University of Global Excellence.
The school grounds, with their ivy-clad buildings and manicured lawns, had always been a sanctuary, but today felt different.
