CHAPTER 84 I Won't Forget That

  Calista

It's been a week since I finally returned to my childhood home, a place where I don't have to worry about rent since it was my mother's house when I was growing up. Now, this familiar space is my refuge as I prepare to head back to Summit Ridge College in Florida.

"Ugh, you've been thinking a lot these days!" Lysandra's playful voice cut through my reverie, pulling me back to the present.

I looked up from the pile of papers I had been organizing. Lysandra was sprawled out on the couch, a smile on her face. "Can you blame me?" I said with a shrug. "There's just so much to process."

Lysandra rolled her eyes playfully. "You need to stop overthinking and start enjoying being back home. You passed your exams, you're about to start a new semester, and you've got friends who missed you."

I smiled, appreciating her attempt to lighten my mood. "I know, I know. It's just... everything happened so fast. And now, it's like I'm trying to catch up with myself."
