CHAPTER 38: Compelled to expose

  Lydia's POV

Hearing Levi's promise, I felt so safe and assured. Something in me is stirred awake, as a determined look crosses my eyes. Levi notices that as well, his eyes gleaming with happiness for me.

"That's the spark we need right now, Ms. Reporter. You better do what you have to do. And if you need anything, any contact or information from me, I'm right next door." Levi points his thumb at the wall, indicating how 'close' we are in proximity. I laugh at his suggestion.

"Thank you, Levi. I knew I could rely on you. You've been great help so far already. And the rest, leave it to me." With the spirit of a journalist back in me, I'm willing to supress all negativity and move forward with this investigation. I think I have a rough idea as to how to proceed with this investigation already! I know who to contact specifically, without Levi's help!

"Oh, I see." Levi points at my expressions. I nod my head vigorously.
