Lydia's POV
"Ma'am, you have to wait outside. The surgery might be serious and could become complex really quickly. No, you're not allowed to view the surgery. Please sit down in the lobby." The nurse redirected me as I was being stubborn about letting me into the operation theater. I wanted to see Levi, I wanted to watch everything that they were doing to fix him. But to no avail.
Defeated, I drag my feet to sit on the metal chairs outside the operation room, waiting for the head surgeon to walk out. However, I underestimated the amount of time it would take to help fix Levi.
We came at around 9 in the morning. It has been more than three hours, and I am sitting on the metal chair in the same position, tapping my foot on the floor anxiously. Millions of thoughts run through my head. The possibility of Levi not making it was heavy, as the nurse had said.
