Emma's POV
As the ceremony continued, I felt like I was drowning in a sea of warm smiles and open arms. Pack members of all ages came to welcome me, each one sharing a story, a hug, or a gentle touch on the shoulder.
An elderly woman, her hair gray and wispy, took my hands in hers and said, "We've been waiting for you, child. You're one of us now."
A young boy, his eyes shining with excitement, exclaimed, "I'm so glad you're here! Can I show you around our territory?"
A burly man, his beard thick and bushy, wrapped me in a bear hug and said, "Your family now. We've got your back."
My emotions swirled as I tried to process the sheer volume of love and acceptance pouring my way. I felt Hailey's excitement and happiness, but also a sense of overwhelm.
Bennett, sensing my emotions, stepped forward and gently took my hand. "It's okay, Emma. Take your time. You don't have to meet everyone at once."
