CHAPTER 64: Resilience

  Parker's POV

We approached the location where Emma was being held, our senses on high alert. But as we arrived, we were met with a sea of guards, their eyes fixed menacingly on us.

"It's impossible," I growled, my eyes scanning the perimeter. "We can't get through."

Hunter's face set in a determined expression. "We have to try. Emma's counting on us."

Bennett's eyes narrowed, his mind racing. "There has to be a way. Let's split up and see if we can find a weakness."

But as we attempted to flank the guards, we were met with a solid wall of resistance. The guards seemed to be everywhere, their numbers endless.

My patience snapped, and I strode towards the guards, my eyes blazing with determination. "I've had enough of this waiting!" he growled.

Bennett and Hunter rushed to stop me, but I shook them off. "No, I'm going in!"

The guards, sensing an opportunity, closed in on us. I stood my ground, my fists clenched, as the guards surrounded us.
