Emma's POV
My instincts told me to be wary, but Eliana's warm smile put me at ease. I hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Okay," I said, following Eliana to a nearby garden.
The garden was serene, filled with vibrant flowers and the soothing sound of a small fountain. Eliana led me to a beautifully set table, where a steaming teapot and delicate china cups awaited.
As we sat down, Eliana poured the tea with a gentle touch. "I'm glad you could join me, Emma," she said, her eyes sparkling. "I wanted to talk to you, just the two of us."
I took a sip of the tea, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. "What did you want to talk about?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.
Eliana's smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "I want to talk about us," she said, her voice soft. "About our past, and our future. I want to explain, Emma, and I want you to listen."
