Genevieve's POV
"Here, try this, Evie. I'm sure you'll love it," Mom sets a glass of sweet-smelling smoothie before me.
"Okay," I picked up the glass and sipped on the smoothie.
It's very delicious.
"How is it? Do you like it?" Mom asked expectantly.
"It tastes really good. I love it. Thank you, Mom," I took another sip, closing my eyes as the cold, thick, sweet liquid slid down my throat.
"Okay, you're welcome. I'm glad you like it," she replied, smiling.
"Why are you making smoothies out of the blue, Jenna?" Adelina asked quizzically.
"My friend Nell told me to make some for Genevieve's insomnia. She says it works wonders for her, unlike sleeping pills."
"That's amazing," Camilla commented.
"Yes, it is. Nell said it's been a year since the last time she took sleeping pills."
"Wow," Andrea exclaimed.
"I'll give it a try one of these days. I'm having trouble sleeping," Adelina confessed.
