CHAPTER 9 Now Start Talking

  Dominic's POV

"And you're quite certain of that?" Luca's voice cut through the thick atmosphere as he leaned back in his chair, one eyebrow raised in that blasé, amused way of his.

I responded with a razor-sharp glance. "Do you have a better idea?"

Luca laughed and shrugged. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe we should send the spy an engraved invitation to confess? 'Dear Traitor, please, for God's sake, just admit it, so we don't have to spend weeks trying to catch you red-handed.'"

I rolled my eyes. "Ha ha, very funny. The plan is going to work. I'm certain."

Luca sneered, his eyes narrowing. "Fine, boss. You're the genius. Just don't come crying to me if it all goes south."

Stefano coughed and stood up, positioning himself in the doorway. "Everything is in place, and the dummy shipment is already on its way. If our suspect takes the bait, we'll know soon enough."
