  Director Collins wrinkled his brow, then frowned and squinted. "Mr. Anderson, I appreciate the sentiment but you can't just barge in here sounding like-"

  "This is not a suggestion," I cut across, closing in on his desk. "Michael is in bad shape and we need to ensure he receives the highest priority treatment."

  "Mr. Anderson, we are doing everything humanly possible to treat every single patient here," Collins said as calmly and measured as he could manage, "Still, other patients need immediate care as well."

  Luca stepped up to my side and his presence by mine bolstered our position. "Director, we are respectfully not asking for personalized care based on our initials. We ask because Michael's life is at stake and we won't settle for anything other than the very best."
