CHAPTER 10 Irresistible

  Eliza's pov

  I woke up feeling like I was floating on air. The mattress beneath me was impossibly soft, much softer than my own bed. My eyelids fluttered open, and I blinked a few times, trying to orient myself. The room was dim, the walls a sleek and intimidating gray, the kind of gray that made you feel like you were trapped in some dream. 

  But this wasn't a dream. 

  I bolted upright, the weight of realization crashing down on me. This wasn't my room.

  *Where am I?*

  I glanced down at myself, gasping when I realized I wasn't in my own clothes. I was wearing a shirt. A man's shirt. I tugged at the fabric, the unmistakable smell of it hitting me hard. Cavin's scent—fresh, clean, and intoxicating—wrapped around me like a second skin. I breathed it in, and the memories of last night came flooding back.
