Teal's Perspective
After receiving that call, Alexander left the room, leaving me drowning in my thoughts. My father… He was a loving man. It was impossible to believe he had done what they claimed. I truly couldn't understand what he was planning.
I got out of bed with difficulty, struggling to maintain my balance as I reached for my coat. While doing so, I called Fion. Max still hadn't returned from his military assignment, and if Laizel were here, he would have found a way to track down my father.
**"Apologies, ma'am, but the boss has ordered that you not leave the house."**
I ignored the guard's words and kept walking. I could feel him following me, but I didn't care. As always, Fion didn't take long to arrive. His car pulled up in front of me, and he swiftly removed his sunglasses before opening the door for me.
**"Are you okay?"** he asked as he started the car.
