Chapter 57

From Lucifer's Perspective:

I was in a solitary room with plain white walls, completely sealed off from any external or internal noise. Shackled to a metal chair, I had been sitting there for over half a day.

This wasn't my first trial. I had been in and out of prison since I was thirteen, yet no one had ever truly defeated me. If I walked into prison, it was always on my own terms. Now, I waited for my visitor, the one who would bring me good news.

"As expected, you're here, Fion," I said, raising an eyebrow as he entered, accompanied by Detective Maliko. The detective gave me a scrutinizing look before stepping out, leaving behind a recording device and an audio transmitter on the table in front of me.

I was sure they had searched Fion before allowing him in.

"Your daughter is safe for now. She's been asking why you killed her mother," he said.
