Liam POV
After a series of tests on Mckayla, the doctor asked us to wait in the room, saying they'd return later. Titan and Claudine had already left, leaving just my father and me. With time on our hands, we decided to grab breakfast in the cafeteria, bringing Mckayla along in her pink stroller.
She was utterly exhausted from all the tests and had fallen asleep after finishing her bottle. I couldn't blame her—she'd been through so much.
We found a quiet spot in the cafeteria, away from the few people scattered about. I ordered a hearty farmer's breakfast for myself, and my father did the same. The smell of fresh coffee filled the air, promising some much-needed comfort.
Mckayla lay in her stroller, wrapped snugly in her fluffy pink blanket, her tiny body resting peacefully like a princess. For a moment, everything seemed still and calm.
