POV Callum
Walking through the frozen wasteland of the south pole I observed the small southern watertribe village. Currently I have used my illusion ability to make myself look like I wasn't even there, to any observer it was just an endless sea of snow.
"Where is this child?" I said to myself.
Walking in a large circle I walked around the village trying to spot him. After my previous 'episode' it was a simple matter to find out what happened. For one it had been almost three years since I came here, and second I just teleported to the fire sages temple to see it in an uproar, that was the nail in the coffin really.
"Honestly were could he be i've been here for three hours"
Deciding to take a closer look I approached the village making sure to keep up the illusion. It was mere moments later that a large red flare burst into the air from the frozen fire nation ship.
"Completely forgot about that" I commented to myself. I haven't seen the show for more than three years. It was hard to remember some of the smaller details.
Teleporting to the top of the ice wall I looked down as Aang and Katara walked back into town to meet the large group of villagers led by Sokka.
"I knew it you signaled the fire navy with that flare, your leading them straight to us aren't you" Sokka accused.
"Aang didn't do anything, it was an accident," Katara said, defending Aang.
"Yeah we were on the ship and there was this booby trap, and well, we boobyied right into it" aang explained.
"Wow this is giving me serious deja vu" I said to myself.
"You shouldn't have gone on that ship now, we could all be in danger" an old lady said chastising Katara.
"Don't blame Katara, I brought her there. It's my fault" Aang said, taking the blame.
"A-Ha, the traitor confesses. Warriors away from the enemy. The foreigner is banished from our village" Sokka announced.
"Sokka you're making a mistake," Katara argued.
"No, I'm keeping my promise to dad. Im protecting you from threats like him"
"Aang is not our enemy. Don't you see Aang has brought us something we haven't had in a long time--Fun"
"Fun. We can't fight firebenders with fun"
"You should try it sometime," Aang recommended.
At this point I just tuned out the rest of the argument; it wasn't exactly something I hadn't heard before. As their argument came to a close I saw Aang walking into the southern wastes with Appa. I was planning to just follow him for a bit but a thought came into my head, what if I intervene, what if I spoke to him, what if I changed things. A sly smile came onto my face as I followed Aang into the southern wastes.
POV Zuko
"Prince Zuko," Lo said.
"The fire lord," Li continued.
"Is looking for you" both old women finished.
"What for?" I asked.
"We" Li started.
"Do," Lo continued.
"Not," Li said.
"I got it, no need to finish" I interjected.
Walking past the two old women I made my way towards the throne room where my father was waiting, my red cape barely touched the ground as I walked. It felt good to be in royal garments again instead of the armor I wore for two years.
Approaching the large double doors I looked at the two guards "Open it" I commanded.
Stepping through the doors I walked onto the throne room. Father sat behind the veil of fire as he waited for me, quickly approaching near him I knelt.
"You called father"
"My spies have found news of your sister" he informed.
My eyes went wide as I raised my head looking up at my father in shock, neither of us have heard anything of Azula in more than half a year.
"Where is she, who found her?" I asked.
Giving me a slight scowl he answered "One of my personal climbers has found her. She was spotted on the fifth floor walking around with those half breeds"
I inwardly winced at fathers last word, ever since being cursed by the Tower Master he has hated the tower and everything in it with a passion, he even considered the elves and dwarves to be abominations.
"That is not all" Father continued "According to multiple climbers she has become a noble of the city"
"What?" I was surprised at the explanation.
"From their investigation it seems as though the Tower Master himself elected her a noble, she has an estate in the city and oversees some of the inner city logistics" he explained.
"Have they actually spoken with her?" I asked.
"No, I commanded them to keep their distance. I want to know why she is there and how exactly she became noble in a city of half breeds"
"Yes father" I said, preparing to stand.
"I also called you for another reason" he continued, causing me to freeze.
"What is that father?"
"Our greatest enemy has returned"
Literally bolting up right I asked "The avatar?"
"Yes, the fire sages have informed me of his return, though we do not know yet where he is"
"What shall we do father?"
"I will send you to find him"
I felt my blood run cold at that statement, I was banished again, stripped of my honor and sent away from my home.
"This time though you will have the entire fire nation navy at your command"
The surprise was evident on my face at his statement, I wasn't banished quite the contrary I had been given command over an entire section of our military.
"Thank you father!" I practically yelled.
"I have no doubt with your power you will succeed"
Bowing lower I said "I will not fail you father"
"Ahhh"
Looking up I could see my father holding back a scream as he held his cursed arm. Turning to a nearby attended I commanded "Get the healers immediately"
The servant ran from the room to do as I had asked.
Turning back to my father I asked "Are you alright"
Giving me a deep scowl he answered anyway "It has become better than before. The curse control skill at level six has provided some measure of control over it. Observe"
Staring at my fathers outstretched hand I saw as a palm size flame appeared in his hand, it moved wildly like he was barely controlling it. A second later I took a step back, the flame had changed into a deep purple and black.
"What?" I exclaimed.
Just being in the light of the flame brought an unnatural coldness to me, it penetrated every part of me like I had been dipped in Ice for a long time. I had only felt this feeling one other time, when I met the demon who gave me the mask.
"My status has given this new skill a name" father paused letting me process the event "It has called it demon fire"
For a moment the image of the demon overlapped with my father's making me flinch. Despite my father's stern look I could not help but feel like something had changed in him and not for the better.

Thanks for reading people. I would like to point out that although Ozai can control the curse somewhat, that doesn't remove its negative effects. He is still very much cursed. I hope you are enjoying my story so far.
