The moment I stepped into my chamber at Arlen Mansion, all I wanted to do was collapse.
And so I did.
With a heavy sigh, I plopped onto my bed, sinking into the soft, familiar warmth of my sheets. My body felt like lead, my limbs aching from the sheer exhaustion of the day's events.
Nyx, ever the watchful companion, curled up beside me, his sleek black fur blending into the dimly lit room. His golden eyes blinked at me lazily, tail flicking in mild curiosity.
"Long day?" he asked, his voice laced with amusement.
I groaned in response.
"That bad, huh?"
"Yeah...it was tiring," I groaned.
"I can see," he mumbled.
I rolled onto my back, staring at the canopy of my bed, my mind replaying everything that had happened.
