[Chapter 32]
"What's up, George? I bet you forced Garnett, didn't you?" Ami teased.
George looked at me, clearly unsure of what to say or feeling embarrassed.
I stood up.
"I want to say that he didn’t force me to wear this necklace," I said.
The two of them immediately stopped and looked at me, clearly surprised.
"Really? But didn’t we all make a promise?" Elisha asked.
"Yes. I haven’t forgotten that. I agreed to wear this necklace because I trust George," I said, then looked at him. "He’ll wait, and while he’s doing that, I’ll get to know him better," I smiled slightly.
I looked at the two of them.
"So please don’t tease him anymore. He needs to go home."
They didn’t say anything more and just nodded. I smiled. After that, I escorted George outside.
"Sorry about the three of them, especially those two."
He chuckled a little.
"It’s fine. I know they’re just worried about you."
I nodded and smiled.
"But thank you, thank you for letting me wait for you."
