Approaching the duo of unconscious fallen angels filled him with joy, while they weren't dead. They were crippled and beaten.
If they were humans, Cedric would certainly shed a tear for them, but he would not suffer mercy for those who have failed God's will.
"Aurelia, Archangel. Did you have any difficulty with these creatures?" Cedric asked, his tone as cold as winter night.
"No [Creator], They were [Inadequate]," Archangel stated bluntly.
Cedric nodded, it made sense that a pure angel would always beat the traitors.
His gaze turned to Aurelia, she was bruised and clearly had seen better days.
"Aurelia come, I will heal you..." Cedric beckoned Aurelia closer to him, to which she happily obliged.
'[Heal], should be enough, but it won't restore her stamina. Perhaps I should use something more powerful, she proved that she had potential after all.' He placed his hand on Aurelia's head.
He disregarded her obvious blushing and shy maiden antics as he cast [God's Holy Light]. It was the most powerful healing skill in his arsenal, with the condition that the target had to accept its effect.
It made sense, if someone would reject God's light from their hearts then his light wouldn't guide them, it was rather simple.
Fortunately, Aurelia fully relaxed under his arm. He ignored her soft moans as the holy light enveloped her very being, restoring her to prime condition. 'Well as much of a prime condition as an infidel could be in.'
He lifted his hand before turning to the pair of fallen angels.
It pained him to do this, but it would be necessary to heal these traitors.
They weren't in mortal danger, the female fallen's wounds were a lot more severe, and her torn wing was cauterized so she was not in any mortal danger despite the severity of her injuries.
'God's Light would either burn them or wouldn't have an effect as they are impure beings... [Heal] shall suffice.' He stretched out his arm towards the duo before casting [Heal].
He watched the blessed skill work a miracle, repairing their bodies almost instantly, Lucious' arm and wing regrowing and any cuts and bruises disappearing.
For a moment he thought about cutting off their wings to make them appear more human, and so more bearable to his eyes, but it was not his judgment. After all their blackened wings were a sign that they failed God's Will, and so removing that symbol was sacrilegious.
He moved his hands through the feathers of the newly repaired wings, reaching the base of Rayn's wings before twisting them so that they crunched and broke but remained firmly attached to the fallen angel.
His gaze then switched to the female, he gently caressed the wing before gripping it, and with a sickening crunch, it was twisted and broken.
It would be foolish to leave means of escape for the enemy.
Two fallen whimpered as pain shocked their very being. It was mere moments before both fallen woke up, their fighting spirit solid as it was when they faced Aurelia's squad for the first time.
"You two still have fight left in you? We should fix that..." Before they could use their newly healed forms to fight they were sent flying through the floor, crashing to the bottom of the tower.
With a glance, he saw Aurelia wishing to speak, but that could wait. He jumped after two fallen, landing with his foot on the stomach of Rayn, the shock forcibly expelling the air of both Rayn and his wife that was pinned under him.
Both of them gasped for air before Cedric grabbed both of them by the throat and with a slam they were buried in the ground.
He would not let them rest. Using skills would definitely kill them, and he did not wish to resurrect a filthy demon or fallen angel which meant that he was restricted to his fists.
He had to hold back heavily to not punch a hole through both of them and yet they were truly pathetic creatures.
They were gasping for air, their bodies quivering from pain, their broken wings not allowing them to fly.
Before he was about to do another combo on the fallen duo both collapsed, still conscious but exhausted from the relentless barrage of punches and kicks.
"It seems your fighting spirit is gone, good." Cedric mocked them as he grasped both fallen by their broken wings, their screams of pain falling on deaf ears.
With a leap he jumped back to the top of the tower, two fallen nearly conscious from the immense pain.
"They should be ready to talk." Cedric threw both of them before crouching before the male, who apparently had more mental fortitude as he wasn't a groaning mess. He seemed to handle the pain much better.
"Since you are lucid, you will tell me about Iguva, and while we are at it you will tell me about demonic forces as best as you can. Otherwise..." He didn't need to finish his threat, Rayn nodded.
"I will... speak... If you let my wife go!" Rayn demanded, his will to fight still here.
"What makes you think you are in any position to demand?" Cedric mocked him with his question.
"... You need information..." Rayn spoke, his voice trembling from both pain and fear.
"So you think so..." Cedric rose up before walking to Lucious.
"I could kill her, you are lucid enough to talk. But she is useless. She is only alive due to God's Grace."
With a kick, Lucious crashed into a thick tower wall.
Rayn had a terrified expression as he saw Cedric approach the woman he loved the most."OKEY! I WILL TALK! JUST PLEASE STOP HURTING HER!" Rayn ignored the pain as he agreed to give away information.
Cedric chuckled as he dragged the now unconscious fallen back. "That wasn't so hard. Was it?"
With incredible ease, Cedric threw Lucious into Rayn's embrace."Now tell me, Who is this Demon Iguva that you all seem to serve? My patience is thin, I want answers. Now!" Cedric demanded with authority, forcing even Aurelia to stand in stunned silence.
