The First Star

Cedric, the man that was supposed to be 37 looked much younger, perhaps 23 to 27 at maximum, he had short brown hair, deep green eyes, and stern face as one would expect of a powerful warrior.

Unsurprisingly for someone as powerful, he had no scars, despite apparent experience, it looked like he was never even scratched, which could be credited to the soul retrieval he had experienced at the end of his previous life.

Aurelia couldn't help it, the moment her beloved hero had removed the helmet she was overwhelmed by lust, she wanted to pounce on him and let him do whatever he wished to her, and yet she knew it was not wise to do so.

She restrained her lust, however, even her restraints failed as she blurted "No... the opposite. Please allow me to call you Daddy!"

Aurelia was consumed by embarrassment, she couldn't help herself. Cedric just gave her a title and praised her as a Christian but she just had to let her lust get the better of her.

'Please don't hate me... Please don't hate me...' She hated how she acted, the manners that were taught to her from a young age, her own dignity, all of it disappeared when looking at the hero.

If the royals of Valar had seen her act like this her political career would have ended instantly, and a great chance that she would be disowned as someone who had the potential to disgrace the entire family.

As expected next words Cedric spoke were "No, Aurelia. You will need to learn how to behave like a servant of God."

She knew fully well that her behavior was unbecoming, however anytime she tried to resist her mind went into overdrive.

However despite her lustful desires she still knew that she couldn't rush love, she tried it and she got shut down, only a fool would attempt the same strategy over and over again if it failed.

A different approach would be needed to conquer Cedric's heart and it was to become as devoted to God as he was.

If she was on the same level of devotion then she might be able to get closer to Cedric and perhaps he would see her in the same way.

"Cedric, I had some questions about the Bible while we are riding back to Valar, I am sure you can enlighten me!" Aurelia proposed a study session, after all, It seemed to be the only way to Occupy Cedric's attention for any meaningful amount of time.

As Cedric had shown his face so did he show the true delight at the proposition.

"There is one thing that is very confusing to me, It mentions countries and cities I have never heard about. As a royal, I was taught about all important countries and political entities." Aurelia needed to know.

Was the Bible referring to long-lost civilization or something else? If it was ancient civilization how come no traces were found?

'What if traces were found, but they were covered up.' It made sense to her, If such a powerful civilization, blessed by one true God existed, it would undermine the entire foundation of not only Valar but the remaining human kingdoms.

Why would anyone worship lesser deities when a supreme one existed and was actively involved?

No, God had proven in her first reading of the holy scripture that he would and did destroy humanity for their sins.

Perhaps it happened again, and once again humanity repeated its sin by worshipping false gods.

However Cedric's answer shocked her deeply.

"Because the Earth is not this World." Cedric folded his arms as he spoke plainly.

"Not this World?" Aurelia's confusion only grew, what did Cedric mean?

"God sent me personally to eradicate the demonic threat, but I am not from this world, Aurelia." Cedric stated it as it was undisputed truth.

Aurelia nodded, it didn't surprise her too much that the impossibly powerful hero was not of this world but instead a world created by God.

Aurelia most certainly did not wish to poke at Hero's past despite her curiosity and so she continued with her next question.

"I have been curious this entire time, why do you call demi-humans such names as demons, If you are not of this world does that mean they were called demons on Earth." Aurelia finally had a chance to ask what she wanted to know for the longest time.

Cedric raised his eyebrow, this question. It was obvious that humanity was tricked into humanizing the foul creatures of hell, It was sad but understandable.

"Humans were tricked, that's why. They are demons and there is no question about it. And yes, they are called demons on Earth as my original world hadn't strayed from God's path." Cedric was clearly furious whenever he spoke about demons, he clenched his fists as he continued.

"Those wretched creatures were successful at eradicating one true faith from this world, and God in his infinite mercy had chosen me as his Champion to get rid of treacherous scum!"

Aurelia could feel it, the tension in the air could be cut with the knife anytime demi-humans, or demons were mentioned.

She retreated back, clearly afraid. Something that Cedric did not miss.

"Aurelia, you don't need to be afraid. You are a warrior of God now, and as such I swear it upon my name that demons won't harm you." Cedric placed his hand on Aurelia's shoulder.

Aurelia widened her eyes at such a shift in mood, it was clear that the man in front of her did care about her. Just a fact he swore on his name that means so much for someone as powerful as Cedric meant that she was special.

What she felt wasn't lust, but pure blissful happiness.

"I named you 'The First Star' for a reason, you will be a beacon that will spread faith in one true God."

Despite his speech, the longer the man held his hand on her shoulder more she struggled to contain herself, but surprisingly even to herself, she was able to contain herself as she nodded along.

"Once we arrive at Valar I will train you. You might have a powerful weapon, but you are weak. Even if you suddenly gained immense power you wouldn't be able to use it properly and would most likely end up hurting yourself." Cedric spoke plainly.

However, all Aurelia heard was that hero Cedric would spend time with her and help her get stronger.

"I accept!" Aurelia shouted.

Only one thought bounced inside Cedric's head at her answer, 'That wasn't a question... But at least she seems eager.'
