Jonathan and Greyson arrived at the base. Greyson led Jonathan to a highly secured prison in the base. Jonathan kept looking around as he walked on the long corridor filled with many metal steel doors.
Jonathan was wondering how they would be able to get the summoner to talk. They wouldn't possibly just tie him to a chair like they would do in his former world, would they?
This was a world with magic, wouldn't the summoner just perform his spell and escape.
Jonathan was still having these thoughts as they continued to walk down the long corridor. Although the door seemed heavily locked, he doesn't see any of them constricting the giant rats he fought earlier.
They arrived at the last door in the corridor, and Greyson Inserted the password on the door. Seeing there was a password at the door, Jonathan believed technology would be playing a big role in the restrictions of ability users.
That was the only way Jonathan could think of. This world even had advanced technology that were far superior to his former world, so it wouldn't be surprising that there would be a device that would be able to restrict ability users.
The door opened and Jonathan quickly scanned the whole premise inside. Inside the room was only a chair and a metallic table. On the table was a device that looked like a headphone, but it seemed it would be covering the eyes of the person as well.
On the chair was a fat metal chain with a large handcuff at the end of the chain.
Jonathan didn't know how this works, but the method would definitely cause people to avoid crimes in his world.
Imagine not having beds and TV in prison, just being tied to a chair for the rest of your life until your sentence is over.
Jonathan believed only that would reduce the crime rate in the world, however it wasn't a fair thing to do. Human beings weren't animals.
"Sit him on the chair."
Greyson commanded as he stood beside the door. Jonathan entered the room and sat the summoner on the iron chair. He couldn't believe the summoner still hadn't woken up, if he was the summoner, he would've woken up already.
When Jonathan sat the summoner on the chair. Greyson entered the room and walked straight to the headphone on the table.
"This would keep his head busy. It would send continuous high vibrational frequency to his brain, causing him to be unable to think.
If he can't think he can't perform any of his skills."
Jonathan immediately fathoms what Greyson was saying. The headphones were used as a disturbance to the brain, so the prisoners wouldn't be able to think straight.
With those words, Greyson inserted the headphones on the Summoner. He went to the summoner's front view and handcuffs his hand down to the ground.
Jonathan wondered why the handcuffs were here, if the summoner wouldn't be able to perform anything because of the disturbance, why bother handcuffing his hands.
Jonathan wanted to ask the questions when he remembered with the Summoner hands free, he could easily remove the headphone.
'What a fool I am!'
Jonathan cried out in his mind. He almost asked the most stupidest question of all time.
When Greyson was done with the handcuff. He stood up and said.
"This will prevent him from performing any of his skills with his hands."
Jonathan's eyebrows moved when he heard that. It seemed they were handcuffing the hands for other reasons he didn't know about.
He didn't want to ask Greyson about it so he gave it a deep thoughts.
He remembered the summoner always moved his hands before he performed any skill earlier. It seemed the Summoner would be able to perform skill with just some hand signs.
That wasn't difficult for Jonathan to come up with. He have watched a lot of movies where magicians would have to draw something in the air before they would be able to perform a certain skill.
He believes that was also applicable in this world as well.
Jonathan looked at the Summoner. It seemed constricting a Summoner would be more difficult than the rest ability user, except the mages.
He wondered what a mage prison would be like. It seemed every ability users with their own prison ward.
Greyson straight up and looked at the Summoner.
"I don't believe he will be able to perform any skill with his mind, but just to be sure. We have to put the MDE manipulator on."
Jonathan nodded to Greyson words without knowing what the full meaning of MDE was.
Greyson clicked on the button on the side of the headphones and a little vibration followed.
Jonathan's eyebrows moved a little. He could hear the vibrations this loudly, let alone the prisoners that were putting on the MDE manipulator.
Surely, nobody would be able to think with this on.
With that, Jonathan and Greyson came out of the prison building.
"I will report this to the base commander, meanwhile you can go to your room and wait for further instructions."
Jonathan saluted. He wanted to leave when he heard footsteps approaching. He turned to face the direction of the footsteps and the people coming were a group of seven people dressed in a green colored military uniform.
On the chest region of their uniform was Baythorn Task Force One.
Jonathan stopped then to look at them. He wondered what the taskforce thing meant in this world. His guess would be they were perhaps special forces.
Seeing one was included to the taskforce title, Jonathan believed his state, Baythorn, had more than one taskforce, making him wonder if they could be called special forces or regular soldiers divided into groups.
Although he doesn't understand how the military system works in Dreamway now, he believes the taskforce could be regarded as special forces.
Jonathan came to the conclusion with the way the taskforce were carrying themselves. A regular soldier wouldn't be walking this high and mighty.
