Travel to the sky-Story ⊕

This divine sanctuary, bathed in golden radiance, seemed to exude timeless beauty. The celestial warriors, radiant entities, stood in impeccable formation. Around the Dragon King, the surrounding shard focused, creating a shimmering aura.

But behind this perfection was a great tension. The Dragon King had just entered this sacred shrine, and he was not welcome.

Michael's look left no doubt about his intention. He was not going to let such a being as him disturb the balance of this divine world without imposing a test on him.

Michael: «You are defying the kingdom of heaven? You will be judged by the Guardians of Heaven.»

Dragon King: «I have not come to be judged, but to expand my influence. I come to conquer and to show that even the heavens cannot resist my ascension.» BOOM! His raw energy made space tremble like a cosmic shockwave.

CRACK! CRACK! The atmosphere shattered under the weight of his presence.

Michael didn't react immediately. He raised his arms to the sky, and the light around them seemed to gather in a circle around the Dragon King and his troops. ZZZZZT! The air hissed with divine power.

With a fluid gesture, he opened a huge portal. WHOOOOOM! From within emerged three celestial warriors, giants of light armed with spears of divine energy measuring eight meters long.

SHIIIIING! Their weapons radiated with overwhelming force, their sacred aura crackling like thunder and vibrating with an intensity that could destroy the universe of humans.

Michael: «If you desire the power of the Heavens, you will first have to face the trial of the Guardians.» He gestured, and the giants got into position, ready to attack.

The dragon king moved his head slightly with a smile on his lips: «So let them come.»

BOOM! In an instant, the giants were moving towards him with movements at the speed of light, which was amazing for creatures of their size.

The dragon king, however, did not even move. He let his energy build up around him, ready to repel their attack.

One of the divine giants was projecting his spear of condensed energy. Each impact CRACKED through the fabric of space, releasing vibrating waves. But the dragon king was using old magic by conjuring up a shield of dark energy.

KRAKOOM! The spear slammed against the shield, and the shockwave sent waves of energy in all directions that shook several alternate solar systems. However, despite the power of the spear, the shield did not give way.

With one blow, the celestial hammer of one of the giants, forged in the flames of the first star, CRUNCHED against the dragon king's scaly armor, shattering it and revealing a gaping wound.

His left wing, torn, hung uselessly at his side. He knew he wouldn't be able to fly for days.

WHIRRR... A runic circle appeared beneath him, and space seemed to freeze. His movements, slowed down as if he were moving through liquid crystal, gave him a crucial disadvantage.

One of the giants roared: «You have abandoned me to these mortals, Xal'therion! I demand reparation for millennia of suffering!»

The dragon king snarled, his voice sharp: «I'm tired of this name. How many times do I have to say it? I'm not that dear Xal'therion!»

HISS... WHOOSH! The dragon king felt his body bend under the weight of his own energy. Each breath became more difficult to take back, as if his power were devouring his essence.

Dragon King: «You'll have to do better than this, it won't be enough to defeat me.»

With a thunderous BOOM, he swung his arms in an explosion of power.

In a flurry of energy, the Dragon King launched an attack of black flames at the giants. The air around him sizzled with intensity, and the weather warped under the suffocating heat of his flames.

[Infinite System: Skill used: – Ignis Umbra Viridis (Emerald Shadow Flames).]

[Description: A combination of dragon energy and primal dark fire. These flames not only destroy physical matter but also devour the targets' spiritual essence, preventing them from regenerating or reincarnating.

[Effects: Black Flames: Deal continuous damage to the soul. Emerald Aura: Grants increased regeneration and an energy barrier, reducing damage taken.

[Consumption: 25% dragon energy per minute.]

The giants, despite their imposing size, were no match. One of them was struck directly by the black flames—FWOOSH!—and disappeared in a shower of stardust, its limbs disintegrating instantly.

CRASH! The Dragon King then turned his attention to the second giant, who attempted a desperate aerial assault by plunging his spear toward the Dragon King's body. But faster than a blink—WHOOSH!—the Dragon King launched himself forward with dizzying speed.

With a precise blow—CLANG!—he shattered the giant's spear in an explosion of light before slamming the colossal figure into the ground with monstrous force. BOOM! The earth below trembled violently.

The last giant, trembling, summoned a shield of light in a final attempt to defend himself. But BAM! BAM! BAM!—the Dragon King's flurry of blows rained down, striking his celestial armor with unimaginable speed. The shield cracked—CRACK!—and the ensuing explosion of energy—KABOOM!—shook the entire space. The ultimate giant fell, defeated.

Dragon King: «Is this all Heaven has to offer?»

He turned to Michael, whose face betrayed no surprise. Calm and unflinching, Michael's eyes remained locked on the Dragon King, carefully observing his every move.

Michael: «You have the strength, but strength alone will not allow you to rule here. Heaven does not tolerate those who seek to take what is theirs.»

He stared at Michael defiantly: «I'm not trying to take what's yours. I come here to take what needs to be taken. Heaven itself cannot be more powerful than My will.»

Clang! Michael seemed to think for a moment. There was a glimmer of intelligence hidden behind his apparent coldness. Then, in a fluid gesture, he stretched out his hand to the sky.

Michael: «Very good. You have proven your strength.» He slowly lowered his hand and the circle of light around them began to dissipate. Fwoosh!

«But you will still have to face other trials. The power of Heaven is not freely given. You will have to face the Celestial Trials.»

While the last giant collapsed heavily, there was a cloud of golden dust. Thud! The Dragon King stood still for a moment, gazing out over the battlefield strewn with colossal bodies.

Dragon King: «They were powerful. But not enough.»

A silence set in, suddenly broken by a vrrrroooom vibration in the air. The Dragon King raised his head, his golden pupils narrowing as a deep, majestic roar RRROOOAAARRR split through the skies. A bright golden aura invaded the horizon.

Dragon King: «Finally, you're here,» he said with a carnivorous smile.

A gigantic portal spread over the Dragon King and his troops. With a gust of wind WHOOOOOSH, a huge shadow emerged from the portal.

It was a gigantic creature, a golden dragon with eyes of flame, appearing in the air. His presence made the stars tremble CRACKLE. He was one of the oldest and most powerful creatures in the Heavens, a primordial guardian, born from the very heart of this celestial realm.

Michael: «This dragon is the last obstacle. You will have to defeat him if you wish to claim your rightful place in the Heavens.» He pointed to the creature with a gesture.

There was a defiant smile on the Dragon King's lips. He knew that this battle would be far more difficult than anything he had faced so far. But he was ready. He had traversed the infernal realms, destroyed armies of demons, and established himself as a king of dragons. He did not intend to stop there. This golden dragon, although imposing, could not stop him.

All of a sudden, a quest formed in his mind, a quest for divine power.

DING!

[Quest generated: Confront the Celestial Dragon. Reward: Increased divine power, mastery of the celestial elements.]

The system confirmed the quest, and the Dragon King prepared to fight the battle that would decide his future, not only in this world, but in the celestial universes.
