Yaxoc wandered through the chaotic streets of the city, his gaze scanning for any sign of hope—until his eyes locked onto the sky. His heart nearly stopped.
"WHAT THE—!? FIVE HUNDRED METEORS?!" Yaxoc screamed, pointing up at the sky, where a storm of blazing rocks descended toward Earth.
Hearing the commotion, Yaxocara approached. "Did you just say 500—?" She glanced skyward and froze. "Oh, holy sh—"
"No time for shock! We have to do something, NOW!" Yaxoc yelled, grabbing her arm. "Follow me!"
Yaxoc took off in a full sprint, with Yaxocara close behind, trying to process the situation. As they raced through the city, something far worse emerged—a swarm of over 20 winged demons filled the skies, their dark forms blotting out patches of light.
"What's with these demons?!" Yaxocara said, her fists clenching.
"I don't know, but we're taking them down!" Yaxoc growled.
"Got it!" Yaxocara said, her determination hardening.
Without hesitation, the duo leapt into action. Yaxoc's fists collided with demons mid-air, while Yaxocara's swift strikes cut through the chaos like a blade. One by one, the demons fell, their bodies vanishing into wisps of dark smoke.
After clearing the skies, Yaxoc landed and dusted himself off. "Okay, demons down. Now let's keep moving!"
The two darted through the streets until they reached an empty field. Yaxoc came to a sudden stop, staring upward.
"Why are we stopping?" Yaxocara asked, crossing her arms.
"We need to jump onto the meteors to stop them!" Yaxoc declared, sounding almost confident.
Yaxocara blinked at him. "You do know you can fly, right?"
Yaxoc paused, his face turning sheepish. "Hah... yeah, I might've forgotten about that."
Yaxocara sighed and rolled her eyes. "On your mark, get set—GO!"
The two launched into the sky, their forms glowing with Angelic Essence as they ascended toward the meteor storm. As they flew, their auras flared brilliantly, and they began charging their energy.
"LET'S DO THIS!" Yaxoc roared, fists glowing with power.
Together, Yaxoc and Yaxocara smashed through the meteors, their punches creating massive shockwaves that disintegrated the fiery rocks into harmless debris. The duo was making quick work of the meteors when, suddenly, a sinister presence revealed itself.
A dark figure emerged in the sky, smirking. "Gotcha," the enemy sneered. "Fools. My meteor magic lets me control these as if they were puppets. You think you're stopping them? You're just playing into my hands."
The meteors shifted unnaturally in the air, converging toward Earth faster.
But Yaxocara remained unfazed. "You really think cheap tricks like that are going to work on us?" Her lips curled into a grin. "Pathetic."
She shot forward with a burst of speed, her fist glowing with divine power as she slammed into the enemy's face. Using her momentum, she spun mid-air and kicked them hard, sending them hurtling toward Yaxoc.
"PASS!" Yaxocara shouted.
"OH, HELL YEAH!" Yaxoc grinned, catching the enemy mid-air. He unleashed a relentless beatdown of punches, his strikes glowing brighter with each blow. With a final burst of Angelic Essence, Yaxoc delivered a finishing Angelic Flash, engulfing the enemy in blinding light and knocking them out cold.
The enemy fell unconscious, plummeting to the ground below.
"Nice teamwork," Yaxocara said, landing beside him and dusting off her hands. "I don't think meteors—or this clown—will be a problem anymore."
Yaxoc smirked, his adrenaline still pumping. "Not bad, huh? Now, what's next?"
The ground trembled violently as the sky rained down an unending barrage of meteors, their fiery trails illuminating the chaos.
"This isn't natural..." Yaxocara muttered, her eyes narrowing as she scanned the endless streaks of fire cutting through the heavens. "We destroyed all the meteors earlier, and now there are hundreds more!"
"No need to panic; we can handle this," Yaxoc said confidently, cracking his knuckles.
Yaxocara smirked, shaking her head. "Heh, you're right. Let's make quick work of this."
With synchronized determination, Yaxoc and Yaxocara launched into action, obliterating meteors mid-air with their immense powers. Each impact sent shimmering fragments cascading through the atmosphere. Yaxoc deftly caught chunks of meteor material and flung them toward Earth.
"Why are you tossing those down like confetti?" Yaxocara questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"These materials are valuable for humanity," Yaxoc replied casually, grinning. "Might as well put them to good use."
Yaxocara rolled her eyes. "Useful until Lucius stomps all over it. But fine, you do you."
As they continued their assault on the falling meteors, the sky suddenly filled with an unrelenting wave—thousands of meteors hurtling toward Earth like a cosmic avalanche.
"Seriously?! What's with this never-ending meteor storm?!" Yaxocara shouted. "It's like Earth's turned into a damn magnet for space debris!"
"It's the Blood Moon!" Yaxoc yelled over the chaos.
"The Blood Moon?! What does that have to do with this?"
"Legend says the Blood Moon's energy attracts celestial forces from space. That's why these meteors keep coming. It's pulling them in like a giant vacuum!" Yaxoc explained.
"We can't keep this up forever!" Yaxocara shouted, frustration mounting. "Who else is going to handle this, huh? It's just us out here!"
Before Yaxoc could respond, a voice interrupted.
"Excuse me… can I take care of those?"
Both turned to see a young boy walking calmly toward them. He wore a red shirt and black pants, with short brown hair and glowing, otherworldly eyes. In his hand, he held a pink giraffe plushie.
Yaxoc blinked, baffled. "How the hell did a kid get here?"
"He doesn't look strong enough to handle this," Yaxocara added skeptically. "Why would you risk your life?"
The boy's glowing eyes intensified, making both Yaxoc and Yaxocara step back in surprise.
"Woah, what's with those eyes?!" Yaxoc exclaimed.
The boy—Lan—walked past them, unfazed by the destruction around him. His calm voice cut through the chaos. "I suggest you leave now."
Yaxoc stepped forward. "Wait, kid, this is dangerous—"
Before he could finish, Lan's power surged, and in an instant, Yaxoc and Yaxocara were teleported to safety far away.
Back in the chaos, Lan stood firm as a menacing creature materialized from the Blood Moon's energy. It sneered at Lan, its twisted form radiating malevolence.
"So, you've figured it out," the creature said, grinning.
Lan's eyes narrowed as he held up his plushie. "I suggest you reconsider."
The creature chuckled darkly. "What's with the plushie, kid? Are you some kind of joke?"
Lan's voice dropped, cold and sharp. "You've crossed the line."
The creature lunged, aiming to destroy the pink giraffe. But before it could make contact, Lan caught its wrist mid-strike, his grip unyielding.
"I warned you," Lan said simply.
With a sudden burst of strength, Lan drove his foot into the creature's face, sending it hurtling across the globe—spinning around Earth 600 times in under a millisecond before crashing back at Lan's feet, dazed and groaning.
"You hit… pretty hard… for a kid," the creature wheezed.
Lan ignored the comment, his voice calm as he chanted, "Domain Expansion."
A massive, dark sphere engulfed the area, swallowing the meteors, the creature, and Lan himself. The scenery shifted into a surreal, dreamlike house where objects floated aimlessly.
The creature staggered, its movements sluggish. "What… what is this?"
"You've entered the Field of Dreams," Lan said, his voice echoing with authority. "In this domain, all logic ceases to exist. Movement becomes slow, and the impossible becomes reality. Here, you'll face the monsters of an average dream."
The creature's eyes darted nervously. "Monsters?"
Lan smirked and tossed his pink giraffe plushie into the air. In an instant, it transformed into a towering, clawed giraffe with glowing pink fur.
"Get them, Pinky," Lan commanded.
The giraffe roared and lunged, slashing relentlessly at the creature. Trapped in the dreamlike domain, the creature could do nothing but endure the onslaught. After a flurry of brutal strikes, the creature crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
Lan watched calmly, counting softly under his breath. "One… two… three… four… five… six… seven… eight… nine… ten."
At the final count, the giraffe returned to its plushie form. Lan caught it mid-air with a practiced motion.
The black sphere shattered, returning the world to normal. The meteors were gone, and the sky cleared.
"It's over," Lan said, clutching the plushie tightly as he turned and walked away, leaving no trace of the battle behind.
