Chapter 5: The Rise Of The Calamity Entity

Yaxoc and Yaxocara sprinted through the rubble, their eyes locked on the ominous glow of the Blood Moon looming in the sky. Their path was abruptly blocked as a towering demon stepped forward, his crimson eyes glowing with malice.

"Well, well," the demon sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. "What are you two looking for? The Blood Moon?"

"Out of my way!" Yaxoc shouted, his fury blazing as he charged forward.

Before he could land a hit, the demon caught him mid-air with ease and slammed him into the ground like a ragdoll.

"No one gets to talk to me like that. Understood?" the demon growled, leaning closer with a menacing smirk. "You'll regret that outburst."

He then turned his gaze to Yaxocara, his expression darkening. "And you? Just a loudmouth brat. Figures."

"What did you just say?!" Yaxocara shouted, her fists trembling with rage.

Unfazed, the demon effortlessly hurled Yaxoc aside like a toy. Dust and debris erupted as Yaxoc crashed into a wall.

"I suppose introductions are in order," the demon said smugly. "The name's Donahue Darkstrong."

"And who asked for your name, idiot?" Yaxocara snapped, glaring daggers at him.

Donahue chuckled, unfazed. "Introductions don't require permission, you ignorant little pest."

Before she could respond, Donahue vanished and reappeared in an instant, delivering a devastating blow that sent Yaxocara flying through multiple buildings.

"Demons!" Donahue barked, his tone commanding. "Take her to Ogamak. Now!"

From the rooftops, shadowy figures nodded and descended swiftly, grabbing Yaxocara's limp body. With powerful wings, they began to ascend toward the Blood Moon.

Yaxoc, groaning as he pushed himself off the ground, saw this and lunged forward in desperation.

"No, stop!" he yelled.

But Donahue intercepted him, slamming his head into the ground with brutal force.

"You won't save her," Donahue said coldly. "Pathetic."

"Damn it!" Yaxoc growled, his anger and helplessness fueling his determination.

Donahue loomed over him, smirking. "Good. Stay down and wallow in shame. Once your little friend becomes one of them, there won't be any turning back."

Yaxoc's breathing steadied as he slowly rose to his feet, determination blazing in his eyes. "I'm not giving up. You're the one who should be ashamed—for thinking you could stop me!"

Donahue laughed mockingly. "Bold words. Let's see if you can back them up."

Before Donahue could react, Yaxoc lunged forward, landing a powerful punch that sent the demon soaring backward. Not missing a beat, Yaxoc teleported behind him, grabbing his leg and slamming him into the ground with unrelenting force.

"Where is she?!" Yaxoc demanded, his voice thunderous.

Donahue groaned but still smirked through the pain. "Like hell I'd tell you."

"Fine," Yaxoc growled, his fists trembling with energy. "You leave me no choice!"

Slamming his fist into the ground, Yaxoc unleashed a powerful shockwave that shattered nearby buildings. The force hurled Donahue into the air, but Yaxoc was already above him, chanting, "ANGELIC FLASH!"

With a brilliant burst of energy, Yaxoc's fist collided with Donahue's face, sending him flying through the air. Yaxoc chased him down, his movements a blur as he closed the distance.

"NO ESCAPE!" Yaxoc roared, landing a devastating punch to Donahue's gut. Blood spewed from the demon's mouth as he doubled over in agony.

Yaxoc unleashed a flurry of blows, each strike landing with unrelenting precision. He finished with a spinning hook kick that sent Donahue crashing through a line of trees.

As Yaxoc prepared to attack again, Donahue staggered to his feet, his fists glowing with dark energy.

"It's time," Donahue growled. "DEATH PUNCH!"

He lunged forward, landing a direct hit on Yaxoc's face. But to his shock, Yaxoc didn't flinch.

"What?!" Donahue stammered, his voice trembling. "That should've—"

"Death Punch, huh?" Yaxoc said mockingly. "Killing someone with a chant? Cute. Let me show you something better!"

Yaxoc's fist glowed with radiant energy as he delivered a final, thunderous blow, shouting, "ANGELIC FLASH!" The impact sent Donahue crashing into the earth, unconscious.

Without wasting a second, Yaxoc shot into the sky, his eyes locking onto the demons carrying Yaxocara toward the Blood Moon.

"Not on my watch," he muttered.

In a blur of motion, Yaxoc obliterated the demons one by one, their bodies disintegrating under his relentless assault. Grabbing Yaxocara mid-air, he flew away to safety.

As Yaxocara stirred awake, she realized Yaxoc was holding her.

"HEY! PUT ME DOWN, YOU IDIOT!" she shouted, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Yaxoc immediately dropped her, crossing his arms. "HEY! NO NEED TO YELL, I JUST SAVED YOU!"

"YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GRAB ME LIKE THAT!" Yaxocara retorted, her cheeks burning.

"WHY ARE YOU EVEN FLUSTERED?!" Yaxoc yelled back, equally flustered.

"ARE YOU DENSE?!" Yaxocara shot back. "YOU JUST—"

Their argument was abruptly cut off by a low hum emanating from the Blood Moon. Both turned to look as the ominous glow intensified.

"Great. Now what?" Yaxoc muttered, his tone exasperated.

Yaxocara's gaze hardened as she pointed at the Blood Moon. "We need to destroy that thing. Somehow."

The Blood Moon pulsed with ominous energy, radiating waves of crimson light that painted the battlefield in a hellish glow. As the ground beneath them trembled, Yaxocara's eyes widened in alarm.

"What's it doing!?" she shouted, her voice barely audible over the rumbling chaos.

"It's creating something… or someone!" Yaxoc growled, his fists tightening.

"We need to stop it before it's too late!" Yaxocara yelled, already sprinting toward the glowing orb.

Both charged forward, but their efforts were futile. The Blood Moon released a violent shockwave, hurling them backward like ragdolls. They slammed into the ground, groaning in pain as a swirling storm of energy erupted.

From the heart of the Blood Moon's explosion, a figure emerged. Its body was a twisted amalgamation of calamity and blood, oozing malice with every step. Draped in a dark crimson coat and wearing a black fedora tilted to one side, the figure exuded authority and danger.

"Greetings, mortals," the being said, its voice resonating like a symphony of despair. "I am Calamito, the embodiment of calamity."

Yaxoc groaned, forcing himself to his feet. "Calamito, huh? And what exactly are you doing here?"

"To destroy this pathetic planet and forge my utopia from its ashes," Calamito declared, his blood-red eyes narrowing. "But since you've interrupted my plans..." He extended a hand, summoning a jagged sword formed from pulsating blood. "I'll have to make an example out of you."

"Interrupt your plans? You're giving us too much credit," Yaxoc scoffed. "We didn't know your sorry self even existed."

"Bold words," Calamito sneered. "Once I'm through with you, I'll eliminate anyone who dares challenge my title as the Calamity Overlord." He glanced at Yaxocara. "Now, tell me—if not you, then who dared interfere?"

Yaxocara rolled her eyes, brushing the dust from her clothes. "Lucius and Ogamak. They're the ones you're looking for."

"Lucius and Ogamak…" Calamito mused, his tone contemplative. "Ah, yes, those fools. But don't misunderstand—I don't align with their kind. I am a demon of no allegiance, and I will destroy all who oppose me."

Cracking his knuckles, Calamito grinned, baring rows of unnaturally sharp teeth. "Now, enough talk. Let's see if you're worth my time."

Yaxoc and Yaxocara exchanged a glance before simultaneously slipping into fighting stances.

"Bring it on!" Yaxoc yelled.

With a blur of motion, Calamito lunged at Yaxoc, slashing with his blood sword. Yaxoc barely managed to block, retaliating with a swift kick that forced Calamito to backflip out of range.

Calamito opened his mouth, unleashing a beam of pure crimson energy that sent Yaxoc skidding across the ground. Yaxocara dashed in, her fists a blur as she delivered a flurry of punches. Calamito sidestepped each one with ease, retaliating with a brutal hook.

Yaxocara caught his fist mid-swing, surprising him, and countered with a headbutt that sent him stumbling.

"Not bad," Calamito admitted with a twisted smirk. "Smart girl—I'll enjoy breaking you."

Yaxoc teleported behind him, landing a powerful kick to Calamito's back. The force sent the demon flying through the battlefield, crashing into the ruins of a crumbling building.

"You're nothing special," Yaxoc said coldly as he dashed forward.

Calamito rose from the rubble, his body glowing with a sinister red aura. "You've only seen a fraction of my power. Let the calamity begin!"

He raised his arms, summoning a barrage of massive, flaming meteorites from the blood-red sky.

"Yaxocara, take cover!" Yaxoc shouted as he charged forward. He leapt into the air, shattering each meteor with precise punches. The explosions rained down debris, but he pressed on, clearing a path.

Yaxocara darted toward Calamito, landing a clean blow to his jaw. Calamito staggered but quickly recovered, grabbing her wrist mid-swing.

"Nice try," he sneered, driving his knee into her stomach before tossing her aside. As she hit the ground, she groaned, her vision blurring.

"You're pathetic," Calamito mocked. "Do you not see? Calamity is my domain. You've already lost. Your luck is nonexistent now."

Before Calamito could finish, Yaxoc teleported behind him, delivering a devastating Angelic Flash to his back. The impact sent Calamito skidding across the battlefield once more, slamming into a broken wall.

Yaxocara reappeared in front of him, slamming his head into the ground with force. She leapt back as Yaxoc joined her side.

"Let's finish this," Yaxoc said, his aura glowing golden.

The two stood side by side, their fists glowing with radiant light.

"ANGELIC FLASH!" they yelled in unison, their combined power colliding with Calamito.

The attack consumed the demon in a brilliant explosion of light, leaving nothing but silence in its wake.

As the dust settled, Yaxoc and Yaxocara stood panting, the battlefield eerily quiet.

"That was… intense," Yaxoc muttered, wiping sweat from his brow.

Yaxocara glanced at the remnants of the Blood Moon. "It's not over yet. We still need to figure out how to destroy that thing."

Yaxoc sighed. "Great. No rest for the weary, huh?"

Yaxocara smirked. "You wouldn't have it any other way."
