91: Moon, Ocean, and Water.

This place was special to the Northern Water Tribe because the spirits most important to Waterbenders rested here. Tui and La, two beings who had danced together since the beginning of time.

There was also the Spiritual Oasis, a body of water with such powerful spiritual energy that it could heal someone on the brink of death. In general, it enhanced the art of waterbending.

This water was the Northern Water Tribe's most important resource, as vital as maintaining the safety of the spirits. But did the spirits need care? Shisui, who saw the world differently because of his gift, knew the answer.

This place was filled with a dense, powerful spiritual atmosphere. Perhaps the plot needed to capture these beings easily in the 'original show'? For Shisui, that scenario was quite stupid.

Despite his connection to the water element, his kinship with Yue, and his familiarity with Tui and La, the pressure this place exerted on his spirit was tremendous, making his body feel heavy.

'Well, isn't gravity part of the tidal phenomenon? Can Waterbending affect gravity? Damn, a new concept to explore...' Shisui reflected, feeling his body suffer. Instead of feeling angry or stressed, however, he felt happy.

"It seems like you're understanding it well, right?" Yue, unfazed by this environment, stood next to her nephew and watched as Shisui's face reddened and his forehead beaded with sweat.

"More or less. This place is incredible. I can train more!" Shisui exclaimed, causing Yue to slap her face.

"Can't you just relax?" she asked. Shisui gave her a strange look. How could he relax when he was enduring this place's increased gravity?

He realized that he was the only one affected because Yue, who had no visible muscles, seemed quite normal, indicating that she was not enduring the same gravity.

The two fish swimming calmly in the pond in front of him were undoubtedly to blame, but Shisui took advantage of the situation to exercise. First, though, he had to resolve something, so he walked to the edge of the oasis.

Yue stood beside him, watching curiously to see how he would overcome the heaviness inflicted upon him. Many people tried to do the same, wanting to interact with the spirits to receive their guidance. However, no one could endure this situation for long.

Only Yue, being part of the Spirit of the Moon, could move freely in this place. Of course, at special times, a person could access the oasis calmly, but it also depended on their identity.

For example, Yue knew that if the Avatar came to this place, they could walk freely like her. After all, that was their status. It is said that Avatar Kyoshi decided to face the increased gravity, but no one knows what happened except Yue.

'Like Avatar Kyoshi, Shisui wants to train here. Is this common among the powerful or fighting fanatics? Should I try it too?' Yue thought, watching Shisui crouch in front of the pond. Not only could she see his reflection, but she could also glimpse Tui and La in their fish forms, swimming in a constant dance.

"Since you've called me here, what do you want to talk about?" Shisui asked directly. Suddenly, the atmosphere changed.

The sun disappeared from the sky, revealing the stars, the full moon, and a sea with gentle waves breaking on the beach. This was where these beings had once lived. Shisui easily recognized the place because he had come here many times through the spiritual world.

"Boy, what a show you put on. But why a dragon? What did Agni give you as a bribe?" La, in human form, appeared in front of Shisui, who was no longer weighed down by gravity.

"Huh? Don't you know who my partner is? I have to give that guy some credit for taking care of her. After all, I'm going to be a father," Shisui said, easily justifying himself, causing the spirit to stare at him.

"You could have asked Tui to help you with that. We are the spirits of water; we are related to the proliferation of life. We can help your future offspring be born well," La pointed out. Tui, or at least her human representation, appeared beside him.

"Exactly, Shisui! Do you know how smug Agni became this morning when his light shone on our pond? I can't stand it!" Perhaps because of the classic confrontation between water and fire, Tui seemed angry, talking about Agni, the spirit of the sun.

"Did you call me to complain about my aesthetic taste?" Shisui asked, rolling his eyes at how these two spirits were behaving like his grandparents. There was a small smile on his face, though, because he felt quite comfortable with these beings being friendly and affectionate toward him.

"Yes... Vaatu is bothering us with his actions. We don't like the distortion of the Water gift at all," La growled, frowning.

"We haven't acted not because we can't, but because we want to know what that guy wants to do. After all, it's not pleasant to remember those periods when he won," said Tui, her voice showing a little fragility. La hugged her.

"I have some ideas about what he might try. I've told you about Zhao, right? Here's the thing..." Shisui began to explain everything he knew. He wasn't like those people who knew key information but kept it to themselves, causing more problems than good.

The three of them chatted and planned their next course of action. Tui and La might be relatively calm, but water could give life and take it away, causing as much destruction as fire, earthquakes, or storms.

...

In the spiritual world, a long time had passed. In the real world, however, Yue only saw Shisui close his eyes and then suddenly open them again with a strange smile on his face.

She already knew what had happened; she just decided not to join in. The princess then sat down in front of the pond and put her feet in the water, which would make any Waterbender drool. However, since Yue was technically the spirit of the Moon, she had the right to do this.

"I have to learn how to bring people into the spirit world, not just summon reflections of it. I wonder if I can create domains if I manage to control that ability. Sounds like more things to investigate!" Shisui muttered. He felt the heaviness in his body again, but that wasn't what mattered to him. It was just a detail he had begun to notice.

His gift had improved! He knew that every time he got stronger, his special vision became stronger and deeper. But since yesterday, when he touched on the concept of energy bending, all the quantitative changes had become qualitative.

Now, with his gift active, he could observe spiritual energy, which is generally invisible to the human eye. That's why he was amazed to see how the Spiritual Oasis lived up to its name.

From what he understood, this energy's interaction with him caused him to feel heavy. In reality, though, it was one of those advanced uses of waterbending. After all, tides are the result of the gravitational interaction between the moon and the planet.

'Now can I cover my face, laugh wildly, and live up to my name?' Shisui's thoughts led him to associate this improvement in his visual ability with the legendary red eye of a world plagued by ninjas.

"I don't know what you're thinking, but I can tell it's nonsense," said Yue, interrupting Shisui's daydreams. The Sage simply shook his head.

"Never mind. I already talked to Tui and La. Now, I'm going to train a little," said Shisui before starting to perform the basic waterbending katas. Due to the additional weight, however, it was much more complicated.

"Have you thought of a name for your daughter?" Yue asked curiously, wanting to know more about her future niece. What? She should be her grandniece? She was too young to have anything to do with grandchildren!

"Azula and I talked about it last night. We're thinking of naming her Terumi," replied Shisui. He had begun to vary his movements, but, instead of incorporating other elements, focused on imitating the physical movements of the spirits of the ocean and moon.

But Shisui felt that something was missing. Perhaps because these movements required a partner? The Sage quickly understood the problem. He could adapt these movements and learn a lot from them. However, if he wanted to improve his control significantly, he needed a dance partner.

'Wait...isn't this dual cultivation? Would doing this with Azula be twice as effective?' Shisui thought. After all, what he was training at the moment was not only his physique, which was secondary, but also his spirit, which was becoming more attuned to water.

'The Firebending of dragons also has to do with dancing. Zuko knows a little about that. Could Azula and I dance together? What about joining our lives? It seems I am about to discover another form of dual cultivation! Just like the blending of essences.' Shisui's thoughts were in complete turmoil, but he kept his expression serious and continued to dance alone, demonstrating exceptional self-control.

"Terumi? Mixing Light and Ocean is a good name for a girl who represents two countries well." Yue's words made Shisui nod because he knew the political importance of his daughter. However, he would try to give her the best life and protect her from anyone with bad intentions.

"But she won't be the only one, you know? Azula wants lots of sons and daughters. Maybe ten, or more," said Shisui. Although his words might sound like a complaint, his huge smile indicated that he agreed.

"Huh? Why do you plan to have so many children?" asked Yue, scandalized. Deep down, though, she wanted to see her future nieces and nephews.

"Because we love each other very much. Aren't children the fruit of love?" Shisui replied easily, causing Yue to roll her eyes, though she was somewhat embarrassed. However, she was the one who had teased her nephew about this topic a while ago, so she felt a little guilty.

"Well, you have a strong life force, so I guess you're very 'passionate' in private. Do you use Waterbending to help?" asked Yue, trying to make Shisui uncomfortable. The Sage simply shrugged.

"Hey, do you want to know what your nephew does in private with his fiancée? Do you think I don't know? You're going to tell my mom!" Shisui, who had finished dancing, began doing push-ups on the floor. Although it was difficult, he did not give up.

"I'm just playing the role that would belong to Chang'e. After all, she's not with us. But she's curious about Azula. Have you thought about introducing them? With my help, you could do it." Her blue eyes sparkled as she spoke, and Shisui looked at her before continuing his exercise.

"Although I could create a reflection of the spiritual world, which would cause a lot of commotion, with your help, it would be possible to introduce them. Mom has wanted to touch Azula's belly ever since I told her she was pregnant.

She still can't believe she's going to be a grandmother soon!" Shisui shamelessly controlled the spiritual water in the pond, covering his body with a thin layer of it and making it glow.

Due to the added power of the liquid, his body turned into a blue light bulb. This allowed him not only to heal his body, but also gave him the idea to further purify his body and that of his friends.

Shisui shared his idea with Yue. Upon hearing his words, she looked at her feet and splashed water with each shake. Was Shisui planning to bathe in the water from her feet? How strange!

"Why did you make everything weird?" After finishing his exercise and lying on the oasis grass, still covered in blue light, Shisui complained, making Yue laugh.

"You don't know how many people have asked me for the water I bathe in. They say it would be useful to them because I am the incarnation of the moon," Yue replied, causing Shisui to sigh.

"Some things never seem to change..."
