He is bound to the Blood Moon, limiting his options of wives to the royal bloodline. Although respected in the vampire and werewolf clans, he won't be given worthy "vessels" (wives). And as the witches have ostracised him, he's running out of time. 

In a dark corner, demons have begun to appear, scheming to resurrect their fallen king. While Darren runs against a thousand-year-old curse, dangers are lurking for his new family.


Will he be able to protect the world again, saving humans from dangers they have long forgotten? Or will he lose his family and give up on a world that never loved him?

Darren's POV

I patted him on the back, transforming my smile into a happy one.

"I'm messing with you. It's good to see you. Honestly, I thought you wouldn't show."

"Well, I hate these things but the council insisted that we used this as an excuse to hold a meeting. If I keep dodging council meetings, I might be the first clan head to get kicked out."

"I see. The council doesn't give so many warnings but you've gotten the highest number since its inception. A vampire record breaker."

"Like I always say, my lord, life would be boring without some danger."

We walked down the hall, my eyes catching sight of Jason at the other end.

"You didn't come along with Judith? Or even one of her sons?"
