Melissa held on his shoulder tightened as they both swayed with the rhythm of the music. Suddenly he dipped her, making her breath catch in her throat.
Radulf smiled and pulled her up, his nose brushing hers now. "You were not lying about knowing the dance. You are quite versed in it," he said.
"You never believe me, do you?" Melissa frowned at him.
"I do believe you now," he answered. "I even told everyone earlier how you kept my pack alive. They won't gossip about you anymore," Radulf asserted. He raised her hand and twirled her before pulling her in his embrace again. This time his hands were wrapping around her lower waist while her hands circled around his neck.
"Did you ever miss me during the war time?" Melissa asked that question out of the blue.
"I already answered you," Radulf said.
