Ivonne's POV
I sat quietly all through her narration and though I felt really sympathetic, something was not right about her story. For some reason it felt rehearsed and lacked emotion.
At some point she began to cry and I was stunned when Tobias rushed to her, massaging her back in a bid to calm her down and reduce her sniffles.
Honestly I wasn't against his public display of affection to his ex, but I just couldn't sit still as it went on for longer than I expected. I simply took the opportunity to excuse myself but not before letting it known to Martha that I understood her pain and was glad she had come out of it victorious and healthy.
While I ascended the stairs as I made my way to the room, I felt Tobias stare follow me. He must have had something on his mind to say, but I blocked him out of the mind-link and didn't look back no matter how hard and intense it was.
