Chapter 99

 Ivonne's POV

"Moving in?" I clamored the question in shock, my eyes widening as I sat up in my chair. "I thought she was just staying for a while."

"I thought so too," Mother uttered in a shrug, dropping a small purse beside her on the couch. "Did you confirm it?" I interrogated, still not believing it. "Maybe you are mistaken?"

"You should have just directly called me a liar," she muttered, sending me a glare.

"You know I would never do that mother," I exhaled, tapping my fingers on my forehead as my brain absorbed her utterance, Ria my wolf already in a scowl at the information. "How did you confirm it?"

"I think it was a bad idea to come here," Mother hissed, picking up the purse she placed to her right and her palms on the cushion to haul her weight into a standing position. "I shouldn't have put in the effort."

"No mother don't," I hurriedly conveyed, standing from my seat and making calming motions with my palms. "Please sit."
