The Answer

Someone entered a white room, the place was eerily quiet, their footsteps were heard from across the hall.

"Kid, how are you? It's time."

A man with a lab coat approached the young child with a bright smile on his face.

"Ah hello mister, I'm fine, let's go."

He said with an emotionless expression.

The man took him to a laboratory.

He prepared a syringe with a strange liquid.

"Here I go kid, It'll only feel like an ant's bite."

The man said as he used the syringe.

"Ack!"

The boy flinched as he gritted his teeth.

"It's okay now, just go to sleep, remember what I told you before?"

The man said with an unusual smile on his face.

The boy closed his eyes and finally went to sleep.

"He finally went to sleep, this concludes day 281 of constantly giving him potions..."

'This kid's physique is abnormal, even an elephant wouldn't be able to take a single drop of these potions...'

Slowly, a grind started to appear on the man's face, his eyes widened as his face made a sinister look.

"I'm making a monster! With this I'll finally be able to get my revenge on that bitch!"

The man said as he laughed hysterically.

Jin shouted as he woke up.

"This familiar ceiling...I'm back here huh."

'What was that dream though, it felt so...vivid and real'

Suddenly tears flowed out from Jin's eyes, they kept coming despite Jin trying his best to wipe it off.

"What's going on."

He asked himself bewildered, as he wiped the tears with this hand.

Then out of nowhere someone knocked on his door.

"C-come in."

He stuttered as his voice cracked, his hands still in his eyes as he was holding back his tears.

It was Cratos and the other rankers.

They saw Jin and felt something was wrong.

"Were you crying? Are you that glad that you're alive? Then you should be thankful to me!"

Hermes arrogantly said as he pointed at himself while approaching Jin.

"No I wasn't, something just went in my eye."

Jin said confidently as he put his hands down away from his face, Jin's eyes didn't have the puffiness you would see after crying, Jin was calm as if nothing happened before they came in.

Cronos suddenly stepped forward.

"Ah leave it be, Let's get straight to the point, Hades has voted in favor of you."

He said.

Upon hearing this Jin was glad.

"So when can I leave for the mission?"

"A month from now, prepare yourself and get back your powers."

"Please..."

Cronos said.

'After the encounter with that disaster I'm fully convinced that not once was I on par with Null...Every time a Level 7 or higher disaster appeared he always took care of it... alone.'

Cronos thought to himself as he clenched his fist unable to accept that he was inferior.

"We'll get going now, see you soon."

"Cya old man, after you recover your powers let's have a fair fight so I can take your title!"

Hermes said as he walked out of the room.

Jin took a sigh of relief, he ahd finally gotten a break again, he dozed off as he gazed at the white ceiling.

"Ah! My rewards, System I'd like to claim my rewards."

"Wait...I TOTALLY FORGOT I HAD BUFFS! HAD I USED THEM EVERYTHING WOULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH EASIER!!"

Jin shouted as he pulled on his hair frustrated.

"Haaa, whatever I'll upgrade Strength boost and Speed boost I guess."

Jin took out his Silver Keys and proceeded to use them.

"Oh? It turned into an attribute, now I don't have to use it manually."

"I'm getting closer to getting back my former power."

Jin said with a grin on his face. 

"System how many common keys do I have right now?"

"I have enough to unlock two more features, System I'd like to use all of them on the available features."

"Finallyy an inventory and I can see the progress on my level now too."

Jin was extremely satisfied with the upgrades.

"System, The items that I got before, were they moved to my inventory?"

Jin then opened his inventory.

"A fragment? System how do I get the other fragments of this key? I forgot I still had a mystery box left."

Jin was surprised he didn't expect to get a weapon after asking the system the chances of getting one through a mystery box.

The sword somewhat felt familiar to Jin.

He took out the sword from his inventory.

The sword let out a brilliant light as Jin held it in his hands, the sword resonated within Jin's hands as it glowed bright blue.

Jin was surprised, the longer he held the more familiar it felt.

"It feels very light yet durable at the same time...what material was used to make this??"

Jin was baffled due to the quality of the sword.

"I'm gonna try it later when I go home."

Jin then put back the sword into his inventory and proceeded to use his silver keys on Eye of God and Heightened Senses.

Jin was disappointed.

'I guess I'll just use it on heightened senses...'

He then upgraded Heightened Senses.

After successfully upgrading the attribute, Jin's senses were dramatically upgraded to the point that the amount of information he got from his surroundings overwhelmed him.

"Ack!"

He was hearing his own heartbeat and breathing, His vision was magnified to the point that ants seemed like giants, his sense of smell was enhanced to the point that he could smell the blood of a patient being operated on in the hospital.

'It hurts!'

Jin's brain was overheating due to the excessive amount of information he was getting.

'I need to calm down! I need to control my senses immediately.'

Jin then out of nowhere got a nosebleed.

Jin closed his eyes and meditated while enduring the pain.

'I need to focus!'

Jin gritted his teeth.

A few minutes passed and Jin finally managed to calm down his senses.

Jin was exhausted because of the pain.

He wiped the blood off his nose.

And yet after all the pain he just went through he still smiled at the end of it.

"I've surpassed my past self yet again!"

After saying that Jin's vision suddenly started to blur and he found it hard to keep his eyes open.

"Ah, this is bad."

Jin said before he passed out again.

The kid then woke up after a few hours.

"Oh you're awake, you were very brave kid! You endured everything up until now."

The man with the lab coat said with a sinister smile.

The kid said.

"I feel weird."

'It must be the potions effect.'

"Mister, am I gonna be fine?"

The kid asked with an expressionless face.

"Don't worry you're gonna be fine, go back to your room now."

He said with a smirk

"Wait, kid you know...I think you're ready for a name."

The boy's eyes suddenly widened, his expressionless face faded away, it was as if his whole life this was all he was waiting for, his eyes shone with excitement.

'What could be a good name for my test subject...'

The man pondered deeply.

"Ah I got it, from now on you're name will be...XXXXXXX."

Jin suddenly woke up.

"I got that dream again, it also felt so vivid."

Jin got an unusual sense of familiarity every time he dreamt it.

"I didn't hear the last part the guy said..."

Jin then noticed that his senses were almost fully controlled now but he still felt uneasy about it since it could get out of control again, Jin could now properly use his senses instead of being overloaded with information, He could clearly hear the peaceful chirps of birds kilometers away.

He could hear the swaying of the blades of grass outside, Jin could now also properly control whether or not his vision would be magnified and he could control his other senses now as well.

"What happened while I was asleep??"

[Nothing happened, It seems that your body adapted to the sudden change while you were asleep.]

'My body adapted to it? Who would believe something like that...the system probably intervened again...'
