That full moon night

With the body of the headless bear bandit lying dead on the ground, Seth walked to the side, just a step away from the body, and picked up the large sword, which was even longer than his own body.

Taking that sword in his hands, he made a few movements, cutting through the air, making a pleasant cutting sound. He knew, that regardless of the weapon he used, the result depended on his own strength, so it was practically the same thing whether he took a branch or that sword.

'Swords are really cool, but in the end they're no longer useful in this world and I can't keep carrying something like that around with me...' He sighed, before casually throwing the sword away.

With the sword disappearing into the horizon, Seth walked to the car, where Bulma was waiting for him. The girl didn't seem as disgusted as last time, not that she was okay with it, but this time she had expected it.

"We should keep going, we're close to the sea already..." Her voice rang out, before she started the car.

...

Bulma's white shoes stepped on the sand, leaving a trail behind as she walked towards the water.

The small, secluded beach was not often visited by humans, which allowed it to maintain its natural beauty. There were coconut trees scattered around, and there was a forest just beyond the end of the sandbar.

When the girl got to where the water almost reached her she stopped, looking back with a smile she said "It's been a long time since I've been to the beach, if we weren't in a hurry, I would put on my bikini and spend the day here"

Following her, just a few steps behind was Seth, who had a casual expression on his face "You said you have a month of vacation, so if we can gather all the dragon balls before then, we can use the remaining time to do this kind of thing"

Bulma gave a slight nod "You're right" She said and then thought 'Is he planning to continue seeing me, even after we find all the dragon balls?'

She didn't know how to feel about it, she was confused about his intentions, but at the same time, the idea of continuing to enjoy her vacation didn't seem bad.

Taking a capsule case out of her bag, the girl selected one of the capsules and threw it into the water. A small motorboat appeared before her.

With a small jump she was inside the boat and then she looked at Seth, who floated in, joining her.

"You could just fly there, couldn't you?" She asked with a sigh.

Seth laughed and shrugged "I can, but where would be the fun in that?"

"Fun?" Bulma frowned as she sat behind the wheel "You know I want to collect the dragon balls to grant a wish, not to have fun searching for them. If I could fly, I wouldn't be using a boat to go after them"

As the boat was started, the loud sound of the dead sounded, before the boat began to move.

Sitting down next to her, Seth smiled and said "You will make your wish, but I will only have the journey as my reward. If you grant the wish to me, then I will get them all in no more than 3 days"

"And what would I gain in that case?! Stop talking nonsense, the wish will be mine, that was the deal!" Bulma looked irritated.

"Is that exactly why we're going by boat, or do you expect me to do everything, shorten our trip together and still let you use the dragon balls? Our deal is already much more advantageous for you, in reality, it's more like I'm helping you because you're cute" Seth said.

"Shut up..." Bulma's face turned pink and she looked away "I get it, no need to talk about it anymore, we're already going with the initial arrangement"

Seth smiled and placed both hands behind his head "Great, but that reminds me of something. I didn't question you yesterday, because we had just met, but what kind of wish are you going to do?"

It was a simple question, one he already knew the correct answer to, but there was a certain curiosity in his mind 'Will she tell me the truth?'

Bulma wanted a boyfriend, she herself had revealed this in the original story, but she had said this to Goku and Oolong who were children in her eyes.

Seth looked at her expectantly, noticing her somewhat thoughtful expression.

After a few seconds of silence, with only the sound of the boat moving through the sea, Bulma finally spoke "A perfect boyfriend..." In a shy but also fanciful tone, as if she was imagining her own prince charming.

Seth raised his eyebrows for a moment, before they slowly returned to normal "What a waste of wish"

The girl turned her head towards him, giving him an irritated look "What's wrong with my wish? I don't need money or anything, so why can't I ask for a boyfriend?"

"There are a million more important things you could achieve with this wish, but even if you wanted to be selfish and make a wish that only benefits yourself, asking for a boyfriend is the stupidest thing I can think of" He began to speak mockingly.

"What do you think this wish would do?" He asked.

"What do you mean what would my wish do?" Bulma was confused and irritated "It would give me a perfect boyfriend, obviously!"

Seth shook his head "Think about it, where would this perfect boyfriend come from? Would he be a creation of your desire, a soulless being, created to satisfy your desire? Or maybe he would be a random person you consider perfect, being forced by your desire to develop a forced love?"

His words reached her ears and it made her think, she had never stopped to think about that, after all it was something very magical and her desire blinded her to the possible complications of it.

As she had a bitter and thoughtful expression, Seth's voice sounded again "And do you really need that much to get a boyfriend? If you think it's so hard to get one, it's because you've never tried"

Bulma's expression softened and a slight hint of surprise appeared in her eyes 'He is right, I didn't even try... But there wasn't anyone that interesting at school either, maybe Seth...'

Seth sighed "It's your wish, as we agreed, but if you want my opinion, don't ask for something you can get with your own effort. If you want a boyfriend, you could ask for a bigger ass, most guys like big ones"

Bulma's face instantly turned red "Fuck you!"

...

With Bulma irritated by Seth's comment, the journey did not stop. Sailing across the sea was much simpler, as they could follow a straight line to their destination.

It took about an hour before they were close enough to see a tiny island, on which there was a single house.

Bulma took the radar in her hand and confirmed "The dragon ball is definitely on this island. Someone must have brought it here this morning"

Seth looked at the house in the distance, his vision was sharp enough to read what was written on top of the house "Kame House"

He let out a weak laugh through his nose 'This old man isolates himself in a place like this, but he still tries to attract attention somehow'

"Bulma, I think I know who the person living in this house is" He said with a soft expression.

"Someone you know?" She questioned, as the boat got closer and closer to the island, slowly slowing down.

Seth nodded "I've never met him in person, but he was my grandfather's master, and known worldwide as the greatest martial artist, Muten Roshi"

"Your grandfather's master?" She was surprised "That person must be very strong and old"

"He's certainly one of the strongest on Earth" 'Currently' "And if I'm not mistaken, he's 300 years old, so he was old even before my grandfather was born" Seth said.

Disbelief took shape on Bulma's face "How could someone live for 300 years? He would just be a pile of bones"

"We're looking for dragon balls, which grant any wish, and you find it unbelievable that someone lives a few centuries? Someday you'll see that the world is much more extensive than you think" Seth said, with a slight smile on his face.

The boat finally reached the sand of the island and the engine was turned off.

Seth walked on the sand until he reached the house, where the ground was covered by shallow grass. The sound of the TV on could be heard outside, indicating that there was indeed someone there.

With Bulma right behind him, he approached the door and knocked on it, avoiding using any force and ending up breaking the door "Muten Roshi" He called.

Inside the house, an old man with a round head, without a single hair, with a white beard and mustache, was in front of the TV, staring at it through his sunglasses.

The old man was surprised to hear someone calling out to him "Who could it be? Perhaps another young man seeking my teachings? Or perhaps a pretty young lady... Hehehe" He muttered, before starting to laugh with a lewd look.

Excited and curious, he ran to the window, then stuck his neck out to finally see the two visitors. His gaze quickly passed over Seth, then stopped at Bulma, looking the girl up and down.

"Good morning my young friends!" The old man waved his hand, as he clumsily climbed out the window.

Bulma was surprised to see the scene 'He sure is old, but 300 years old? One of the strongest in the world?'

Seth's eyes went straight to the dragon ball, which was attached to the old man's necklace. Then he looked at his face, easily able to notice his lewd gaze towards Bulma.

'What did I expect, he's a dirty old man like in the anime...' Seth sighed, before taking a step towards Master Roshi "You're just like my grandfather told me, a perverted old man"

The old man's thick eyebrows furrowed as he turned his gaze to Seth "What are you talking about? Who is your grandfather to insult an upright man like me?"

Seth smiled and said "Your best student, Son Gohan, another decrepit old man, but he was still a polite person, unlike his master"

Master Roshi's shock was so intense that even through his sunglasses it was possible to see his eyes widen "You're Son Gohan's grandson?!"

"Adopted grandson, but yes, he was my grandfather" He confirmed.

"Wait, what do you mean he was your grandfather? Son Gohan, he..." The lewd expression had already completely disappeared from his face.

Bulma was silent, she didn't want to get involved in that conversation, especially knowing that Seth's grandfather was dead.

"Yeah, the old man died..." When he said that, something popped into his mind 'I don't have a tail, I have no memory of being in Oozaru form, so how did he die in this universe?'

His thoughtful expression made both Bulma and Master Roshi believe that he was sad, remembering his deceased grandfather. But the truth is that he was just confused, Son Gohan was killed by something, but it wasn't the Oozaru, at least Seth had no memories of it, even though he had memories that should have been lost due to the accident in his childhood.

If he even had a tail, he could imagine that the Oozaru form somehow rendered him unconscious, so he would have no memories, but if he can't even transform into an Oozaru, he shouldn't have any missing memories, so how did his grandfather die?

Pushing his own mind to its limits, some memory lapses began to emerge.

The full moon was like a huge silver ball in the dark skies, surrounded by the sea of stars. A feeling of anger surged in his chest, his heart began to beat so fast that it almost became unstoppable.

His muscles contracted and expanded, becoming larger and denser, his adolescent physiognomy had changed to something almost inhuman.

After that the memories were even more fragmented, but he could still feel it, the warm sensation of blood covering his hands.

Everything was very confusing in his mind, but he understood, in the end, he was still the one who killed Son Gohan.
