Reno looked at the three, put his hand to his forehead, and facepalmed. The idea of the three causing so much of a stir that they found their way to the kingdom baffled him.
"What would've happened if the officials found out you were a part of that mess, Terra? It could have been a bad look for the family if everything went from bad to worse, and your name was written all over that. You've got to be more careful about these things."
Terra's fists began to clench, and her teeth gritted intensely. She approached her father and began to speak out towards him.
"Is that all you care about? We literally helped a village from being run through by awry adventurers! If we didn't do anything, things could have turned out worse than they were."
His eyes narrowed as he stared at his daughter intensely, believing what he said to be accurate and that his daughter shouldn't act so rashly.
"Even so, you must consider your standing in these situations. It's great that you helped them, but it doesn't excuse the details of you not only running off from class but also dragging Xavien into your mess. You can't keep acting impulsively and expecting things to turn out fine."
"But that—"
"No. Young lady, you need to think harder about your placement. As the next head of the Farren family—"
"I don't care! You can't expect me to sit there and let those people hurt while I sit around and do nothing about it. Whatever happened to wanting to help the less fortunate or those in need?"
His face grimaced at what she said as Natasha looked at him with worry in her eyes.
"It doesn't matter if you're seen as a student who ditches class, causes a ruckus in some village out in the mountains, and brings someone like this kid to the kingdom, expecting anything out of it. I've already dealt with a lot of trouble dealing with the issues you sometimes bring along, but I can't look out for your actions forever; you've got to think about these things, Terra."
Silence filled the room as the two glared at one another intensely. From Dante's perspective, this wasn't the first time these events had transpired, but it didn't make the room any less tense.
Terra turned to Dante and gave him a look of intent before returning to her father and speaking.
"You may think nothing of it, but I know he's the real deal. I saw with my own eyes that he was a competent person. Even if he's nameless, he did something I'm sure a mass of the students couldn't muster there. He must show it on a grander stage, like at the Academy! I wouldn't have brought him here if I didn't believe he could."
Reno sighed as he palmed his face once again.
"Terra, there are things that I can help with and can't. Xavien's situation is different; his family and ours have connections and something to build on, while this boy is nothing but a wisp in the wind. I can't do anything about this boy attending the Academy; I don't know what he can do."
"Then just give him a chance!"
"The answer is no, Terra."
"You're always like this!"
"Terra…"
"What's the point of having such nobility if you can't help those in need when you have the power…? What's the point!?"
Xavien seemed worried as he slowly held his hands up to try to calm Terra down, but her blood was boiling over like an overheated tea kettle. Her face slowly turned red by the second before her eyes began to well up. Dante didn't know how to react as he'd never seen Terra this angry about something before, but Reno continued on.
