Gianna's POV:
A few days passed, and I found myself not interested in anything. Allen, Doll, and Jessica took turns visiting me, encouraging me to stay positive.
Jessica told me about the library, and after some arguing, I agreed to go with her.
Thinking about her final argument, I couldn't help but laugh. "Gianna, if you don't go, I'll carry you. Do you want me to carry you?" she said.
I had to admit she was very persuasive. When I told her I absolutely didn't want her to carry me, I did laugh heartily.
The library was three stories high and even grander than she described. Once there, my mood changed.
Jessica and I browsed the shelves for hours until I picked out a few books to read.
She kept making fun of my romance novels while I tried to convince her they were beautiful stories.
As the sun started setting in the distance, I enjoyed the cool breeze coming in from the window. Fresh air hit my face, easing my mind.
