Chapter 29 His Indifference

When Allen told me I had to go to Cairnwood, I felt a wave of anxiety. At least with Dennis' pack, I was safe, and I'd grown accustomed to my own routine.

I wasn't sure what awaited me in Cairnwood, but something in my gut told me it involved dealing with the Stormhowl Wolf Pack, and that made me uneasy.

With a sigh, I zipped up the third bag I'd been forced to pack and turned to Jessica, who was still rummaging through my closet.

"Is all of this really necessary?" I asked her. "I mean, they're not going to want me there. I'm nothing to them."

Once again, I was being forced into something I didn't want to do. I was just a breeder... not a sex slave.

"Yes, Gianna," she replied, tossing more items into the duffel bag. "It's all necessary."

I sat down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. "Maybe you could convince him to change his mind. I don't want to go, Jessica. It's not safe for me there."
