Gianna's POV
I turned to Allen and Jessica, whose jaws had practically hit the floor. A smile spread across my face. Music always gave me confidence and strength.
When I decided to go for it, I thought I might have acted recklessly. But honestly, I didn't care about the consequences. Even so, I couldn't stop myself from glancing at Dennis.
For a moment, his face was unreadable. Then, he smiled and shook his head, looking genuinely pleased. I hoped that meant he wasn't too upset.
Next, I caught a glimpse of Scarlett, her eyes burned with jealousy. I gave a bow to the crowd, then dipped my head toward Dennis. "Alpha, may I leave for a bit... please?"
I didn't want to stay in the same room with Lawrence's pack any longer. I didn't want to give Scarlett another chance to humiliate me.
He nodded, and I quickly took the chance to leave the dining area of the hall. I headed upstairs, not stopping until the hall was completely out of sight.
