When I woke up and found myself lying on the floor, it was already dark outside. The photo of my unborn child was still resting on my lap.
I didn't remember falling asleep, but everything I had gone through made it clear that I definitely needed more rest.
I slowly got up from the floor. After staying in that awkward position for hours, my joints protested as I moved.
After stretching, I opened the bedroom door and walked into the living room. The light was dim, with only a small heater glowing.
I realized that Susan must've come in at some point to bring me dinner, but I hadn't heard her at all.
"Gianna..." I jumped in surprise and turned around, letting out a faint scream when I saw Allen sitting on the sofa.
"Allen?" I said, shocked. I looked around, hoping to see Dennis, but he wasn't there. "What are you doing here?"
